AKB 5th ELECTION

AKB Election. My first their fifth.

My very first post outside of lyrics. There is just so many feelings that I can't help but pen it down. Will anyone read this? Nope. However this has to be one of the most valuable experience in being a novice akb48 fan.

Oshi (the member that you support):
Firstly, I would wish to comment on the specific few that I had came to love over the mere 2 months of spazzing about them.

1-Yokohoma Yui
The beloved one in my heart. I like her heart. There is just something about her that is amazing and she ranked 13th without last year's meltdown. Still I found it hilarious when it was she who had an escort awaiting for her to freak out and maybe even roll on the floor or something similar. The other members lighthearted release at all of Yuihan's feels is really nice to see. I'm glad that she is there as part of the all important top 16. Loves.

2-Matsui Jurina
She strives and tunnels through everything with an adorable smile. Being that young of an age yet coupled with a force so mind blowing that just attracts people to her. I'm really glad that she had climbed into and is part of the new Kami7! Hats off to you.

3-Oshima Yuko
The one that made me involved with akb. The one whose acting made me fall in love. She is beloved, praiseworthy and so many more adjectives that I can't recall. The way she had truly embraced what she had said in the election video. This year's election is a festival! Even though disappointment was there when she didn't clinch the centre role, the way she brightly smiled for us, laughed, I couldn't help but smile along. The first vote for you in my life and with that smile, I must say this year's election was a festival. A festival that I truly enjoyed whole heartedly with your wide grin.

Now on with the crown jewel. To some it was a shocker, a dark horse that... ...well was pretty much hidden. It wasn't that no one heard of her. It wasn't that she did poorly in the last election. Frankly, this lady that you all claimed to be 'non-centre' material, had achieved first in the early voting count. Still no one really believed that she would do it.

IN YOUR FACE! SASHIHARA RINO is elected FIRST!

Yes, she isn't one of my favourite member, but honestly you can't hate her. She managed to get the votes. Votes that her supporters spent their hard earn cash on. Do not discount her efforts or her fans efforts. They, like all other fan and members, had indeed worked hard. To say that she doesn't deserve it, that will be inappropriate. Do I wish that Yuko had won it? Yes. Would I prefer it if Yuko had won? YES! However the fact is Sashi won. So people who are having all these negative feels, take a moment, breathe, then smile. Yuko did (A valid reason in my opinion).

Hearing her speech then researching a little more about her, one must admire how far she had come. With a scandal in her bag, being transported to a relatively unknown group, then rising them, forging a friendship with them, etc, I must say people take your hats off for some respect for this lady. Furthermore, her insecurities about the centre, openly seeking help from Yuko in her speech, I felt reflected the image of AKB. IF AKB was planned to have a girl next door approach then I must say she is a possible and kind of well suited candidate. This is a normal girl who had strived hard to clear the hurdles and complete the race of life. I find that admirable. So CONGRATULATIONS!

Mariko-sama. This one here is upsetting. A fundamental piece of AKB announced graduation in a mere month's time. Oh how I am going to miss her when she is gone. Words, I wish to type seem so small beside the true magnitude of how this graduation will impact all those in AKB.

Still, she has moved on. A clothing line to her name, one that is simple and sophisticated. I wish her all the best and shall have a gay moment to continue the tears later on.

Overall, this years election has been a festival. Never a true dull moment, countless spazz moment and fidgets of nervousness. If what Aki-P (Producer of AKB) wanted was a change then it has been delivered. It was not the new vs the old, we had been hit by a wind so fresh that we all need a moment. This election will be remembered as the one where predictions will always be an estimation of reality. Reality will always be something larger than life. My first election, my newbie feelings, I'm glad I had joined the AKB fandom.
